Organ Exploration Workship

  • Concordia Music Conservatory 205 S. Main Street Concordia MO 64020 US (map)

Led by Organists Mrs. Cindy Calafaty and Mrs. Katherine Drefs

Grades 4-12—no prior keyboard experience needed! Just an interest in exploring the organ!

This workshop will explain how the organ works, the students will have the opportunity to get “inside” the organ and look at the various types of pipes that produce the sounds, and they will get to experiment with playing the organ, the pedals and the different stops.  The workshop will also include some history of the organ, how it is used, the different types of pipe organs, and some demonstrations.   The workshop will conclude with a mini-organ concert.
